Sejarah foxbase

FoxBASE was developed by Dave Fulton and Bill Ferguson in December 1984 as a faster alternative to dBASE II [8]. It was the starting point for the FoxPro programming language, which was originally published by Fox Software and later by Microsoft [1] [2] [5]. The final published release of FoxPro was 2.6 [2].

FoxBASE was originally developed for MS-DOS and was later released for Windows, Macintosh, and UNIX [2]. It was a relational database management system for desktop applications [6].

It is worth noting that there is a team behind the Digital Product Selector called FoxBase, but this is a software startup that was founded in 2024 and is not related to the original FoxBASE or FoxPro programming language [7].

Information is missing on the history of FoxBASE between its release in 1984 and its acquisition by Microsoft in 1992 [1] [3].
